Elgin Industries Introduces Custom Push Rods for GM LS Engines Fitted with Steep-Ramp-Profile Performance Camshafts

Elgin, IL…Elgin Industries, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of engine and chassis components for the automotive, heavy duty and industrial markets, has expanded its industry leading Elgin PRO-STOCK® 500 Series range of push rods with a new, custom-length 5/16” diameter push rod engineered specifically for GM LS performance engines.

Longer LS Hardened Pushrods

The new, 7.450”-long Elgin PRO-STOCK PR-515 push rod adds .050” to the popular stock rod length for LS engines to provide additional lifter pre-load lash needed for steep-ramp-profile performance camshafts used in conjunction with non-adjustable LS rocker arms. Elgin Performance Pushrods

As with all Elgin PRO-STOCK 500 Series push rods, the new PR-515 rod features .075” wall thickness, providing 20% greater column strength than stock push rods. 500 Series push rods are manufactured from heavy-wall 1010 carbonitrided steel tube for exceptional wear properties, and are rated for spring pressures up to 400 lbs.
